DUTCHESS HERITAGE
QUILT SHOW

Eleanor’s work in our show. Mr. Paul Sparrow, Director of the Archives at the FDR Presidential Library, sponsored our request, earning our gratitude.

To start things off we have chosen this quote as the show theme.   We hope this will inspire you to try something new, to alter your course and to explore a new direction.  Much of Eleanor’s energy and focus was on helping individuals and governments find peaceful resolution to conflict and to elevate the position of women in society. An important link in this work is education.

The Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show allows us to support the educational mission of Dutchess Community College.  This biennial show funds an annual scholarship in the art department.  This scholarship has offered hope for a better tomorrow to more than thirty students since the show began in 1982.

I hope you will plan to join us at the show, as well as sharing your art with us.  We are working very hard to offer visual stimulation, vendors to tempt your talents, a fashion show for fun and inspiration, a speaker and workshops to illuminate our art and advance your skills.  All this for you while supporting the educational opportunities and new beginnings that DCC offers. It is truly magical!

What is Karen doing with all those felted balls? Come to the quilt show and all will be revealed!
